Deirdre S. Tuntland, PA-C is the dynamic force behind Releana®. The company was established in 1997 and most practitioners across the country prescribe Releana® for their patients. She has dedicated herself to transforming patient's lives through innovations in weight loss, health & wellness.
In 1978, Ms. Tuntland lived in South Africa where she witnessed firsthand, dramatic weight loss results in a variety of individuals living in a small town outside of Johannesburg. After returning to the United States, settling in Newport Beach and raising her children, Tuntland, a life-long learner, earned her Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from California State University Fullerton and shortly thereafter became a Certified Physician's Assistant. After working in family practice and medical weight loss for several years, she started Millennium Medical Spa in 1997. For the last decade, Millennium Medical Spa has been one the premiere spas in Orange County offering the best in weight loss, anti-aging skin care plus skin & body rejuvenation. They are the number #1 retailer in Southern california for Releana® and Latisse®, an eyelash lengthening product.
While working and running Millennium Medical Spa, Tuntland drew on her South African experience and developed a sub-lingual (oral) delivery system subsequently named Releana® in 2004. After a grueling five-year process, her unique formula finally received its U.s. Patent in October 2009 (U.s. Patent No. 7,605,122). Releana® is the only patented, medical grade, sub lingual delivery system in the United States. Releana® is compounded by one of the top compounding pharmacies in Southern California.
